Work Conditioning
Work conditioning is utilized when an employee is not quite ready to go back to work. In our dedicated facility, we recreate the job environment in order to get the employee in "work-ready condition". Many "light duty" programs have little or nothing to do to rehabilitate the injured worker, therefore reinjury rates are very high. Supervised by our staff, the employee performs the recreated job duties at a lesser degree, gradually increasing the activities until they are ready to return to work. This ensures that when the employee does return to work, he can fully perform his duties injury-free and ergonomically correct helping to prevent injury.

Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
We utilize the latest computerized equipment to accurately measure the functional level of the employee with regards to his / her job description. The Physical Therapist makes use of objective findings to produce highly valid and reliable results. Our results then can be used to determine the complete functional level of an employee establishing an accurate return to work ability. This test will also help to detect potential malingering employees, therefore saving companies thousands of dollars in fraudulent workmen's compensation claims.

Meet Barbara Vander Woude, MSPT
Barbara is a 1989 graduate of the Academy of Physical Education in Poland. She holds a master's degree in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Barbara specializes in acute and chronic orthopedic, soft-tissue, and sports-related injuries. She has extensive experience in treating low back injuries, including SI joint dysfunction and improper pelvic alignment. She also has an active interest in working with high school, college, and professional athletes. Barbara loves to teach her skills as well and has been credentialed through the APTA as a Clinical Instructor of Physical Therapy. In 1992 Barbara worked with the Polish Olympic team and helped them earn a silver medal in track and field. She was also the physical therapist for a Polish professional basketball team. In 1984 she won a gold medal in the Junior Olympics. Ms. Vander Woude has been practicing in the United States since 1993.
